Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a sudden illness at the Huntsville Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, he was in his 85th year.

Beloved husband of Christine Kovacs.  Cherished father of Tracey Kovacs-Fietz (Dale) and Tanya Sawh (Clive).  Proud grandfather of Sara, Adam (Rachel) and great-grandsons Oliver, Maxwell and Harrison.  Lovingly remembered by his siblings Joseph Kovacs (Brigetta), Zoltan Kovacs (predeceased Judit), Katalin Dudas, Sister in laws Manyika, Ilonka, his nephews Dezso, Robert, Gabor, nieces Timea, Beatrix Anderson (Chris) and their children Kaden and Kalum.

He was born in Hungary in 1937, moved to Niagara Falls before settling in Burks Falls.He was a skilled machinist for over 55 years serving the surrounding area and beyond.  His door was always open for local and individual needs.  He always had time for a coffee- as he said I might have had one or two today…

Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.  If desired, donations to Northern Cancer Research would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
