MR. WILFRED VAN DUZEN of Emsdale Peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Wednesday February 11, 2015. Mr. Wilf Van Duzen, beloved husband of Reta (nee Jackson), was in his 84th year. Dear father of Alice Evangelista (Howard Gracie), Carol Van Duzen, Shirley Lane (Gordon), Bill Van Duzen (Laura Boulin), Roy Van Duzen (Tanya) and predeceased by son James. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wilf is survived by his sister Eliza Thorne (Mel Young), brother in law Bob and sister in law Velma. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday February 13, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Van Duzen will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 14, 2015 with David Woodall officiating. Spring interment in Chetwynd Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Diabetes Association or the Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
