It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Wilfred Cosby, on October 26, 2022 in his 93rd year.  Loving husband of Beatrice (1991) and dear friend to Linda Miller (2014).  Much loved Dad to Russell (Sharon) and Bobbi, GW to Aaron (Jen) and Shannon (Jon) and Papa W to Raina, River and Grace.  Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Harry, and his siblings Percy, Bill, Helen, Lawrence, Elmer, and Laura. He also leaves many generations of nieces and nephews.

It’s rare to find a person who lived such a full life on their own terms with such steadfast determination and fierce independence.   He provided a wonderful example to us all.   We’re very grateful to call him Dad.

The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Thursday November 3, 2022, from 1 to 2 pm.  A service to celebrate Wilfred’s life will follow in the chapel commencing at 2:00 pm. Livestream will be available at www.opatovskyfuneralhome.com.
Interment will follow in the South River Cemetery.
