Vida Coombes

Peacefully at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday February 14, 2024.  Vida, wife of the late Arthur, was in her 92nd year.

Loving mother of Marie Jarick (Blaine), Linda Mercer (Jack) and Cathy Putman (Jim).

Proud grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dear sister of Betty, Tom (Joan), Leonard, Arnold and predeceased by siblings Cecil, Ray, Grace, Blanche, Stanley, Marie, and her parents Bert and Bertha Botham.

Vida will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls on Friday February 16, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm and again Saturday February 17, 2024, from 11 to 1pm.

A service to celebrate Vida’s life will follow in the chapel commencing at 1:00 with Rev. Sylvia Poetschke officiating.  Spring interment in Chapman Cemetery.

If desired, memorial donations to the Magnetawan Fire Department or the Almaguin Animal Rescue would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
