MR. VICTOR ERNEST STENNING of Sundridge Peacefully entered into rest with our Lord at Cassellholme in North Bay on Wednesday September 25, 2013 in his 99th year. Vic Stenning, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Stenning (nee Harkness). Dear father of Lorne Stenning (Sharon) of Sundridge, Brad Stenning (Nancy) of Callander and predeceased by daughter Linda Arbour. Loving grandfather of Rob Stenning (Christine), Heather Knoll (David), Janis Tompkins (Aaron), Joe Arbour (April), Braden Stenning (Tanya), Ailish Davis (Stephen) and great grandfather of Corbin and Jaylin Stenning, Liam Knoll, Aiden and Noah Tompkins. Cherished father-in-law of David Arbour (Marian). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Vic was a charter and life member of the Sundridge Lions Club and a life member of the A.C.T. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Sunday September 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A tribute service by the Sundridge Lions Club will be conducted in the chapel on Sunday September 29, 2013 at 3:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Vic Stenning will be conducted at Zion United Church in Sundridge on Monday September 30, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Lori Campbell and the Reverend Kathleen McCallum officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to Lupus Ontario or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
