Passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, June 8, 2023, he was in his 90th year.  Beloved and cherished father of Phyllis Rand (Wayne), Fay Arid (Dave), Stephen Rivers (Debbie), Shirley Rivers-Ouellette (Chuck), David Rivers (Helen), Ivan Rivers (Laverne), Roseanne Rivers and step-father of James & Fred Smith.  Proud grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Sadly missed by his sister Agnes Reynolds and predeceased by his siblings Keith, Alan, Lawrence, Billy, Don and Wilma.

Family will receive friends at the Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m.  Followed by the burial at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery in Emsdale.
