MRS. THELMA DOROTHY HOCKEY of South River and formerly of Newmarket Peacefully at Southwind Retirement Home in South River on Tuesday May 6, 2014 in her 92nd year. Thelma Hockey (nee Lord), beloved wife of the late Ronald Hockey. Dear mother of Bob Hockey (Jennifer), Sandy Lagree, Michael Hockey (Marilyn) and Mark Hockey (Cathy). Loving grandmother of Michelle, Cody, Tara, Keely, Tyson, Michelle, Erica, Kendra, Brianna, Cameron and great grandmother of 8. Cherished sister of Vernon Lord (Mary) and Bobby Lord (late Fran). Predeceased by brother Bruce and sisters Joyce and Gloria. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A private family celebration of life will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
