Steve Baxter

Peacefully at home on Friday October 31, 2025. Steve, companion of Joanne Ouellette, was in his 69th year.

Dear father of Lindsay Hannemann (Shawn) and Amy Brunette (Kris).

Proud Poppa of Hunter, Lillian, Arwyn, and Kacey.

Predeceased by his parents Bill and Ferne Baxter.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman, and he cherished all the memories of time spent being outdoors with his daughters. He looked forward to every hunting season with his many friends and acquaintances over the years. He retired from CN Rail over 10 years ago and enjoyed his retirement. He worked away from home for many years so being at home and having his family around brought great joy. Steve was a simple, honest, hardworking man and will be missed immensely by his family. We love you, Dad.

To honour Steve’s wishes, private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
