MRS. RUBY BERNICE NEWBURN of Sundridge Peacefully at Lady Isabelle in Trout Creek on Tuesday April 1, 2014 in her 93rd year. Ruby Newburn (nee Sollman), beloved wife of the late Howard Coupland Newburn. Dear mother of Malcolm Newburn (late Marie), Bernice Brooks (late Dwight), Lorna Brodie and Wesley Newburn. Loving grandmother of Corina, Christabelle, Crystal, Malcolm, Jacqueline, Michelle, Roxanne, Sharon, Wesley and of many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Lucy Sollman and her 8 siblings. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Thursday April 3, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Ruby Newburn will be conducted in the chapel on Friday April 4, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rick Callery officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
