Robert Andrew "Bob" Brill Bob Brill, 74, our dear Husband, Father, Friend and all-round ‘Great Guy" passed away suddenly at the Huntsville Hospital on the day of his birthday, Saturday June 3, 2017. Bob was born June 3, 1943 to Curly and Judy Brill in Toronto, Ontario. The beloved husband of Tarcila, and proud father of two sons Roberto and Peter Brill, Bob also leaves behind his older brother Peter Brill (Bev), their 3 children and their 4 grandchildren all from Calgary. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Curly and Judy Brill, and his younger brother, Evan Brill. As a general contractor, Bob did everything from minor repairs to construction of full homes. As a Ham radio fan, he built short wave radios as well as computers and was the President of the ‘Ham Radio Operators Club of Northern Ontario'. If you had an electrical issue, Bob had the solution. Bob inherited many athletic talents from his father, Curly. In his youth, Bob won tennis tournaments, was a ski instructor at Mount Norquay in Banff and was the smoothest skater around. Despite his high IQ and sports ability, Bob chose the easy life and although he died ‘young', Bob will always be admired and fondly remembered by his many close friends. With very limited resources, Bob lived life ‘his way!' If you ever asked him for advice on how to be happy in life. he would always say 'live life to the fullest'. You could see this through his personality. He loved the outdoors, fishing, farming, smoking and drinking beer. Bob will indeed be missed by all of us! The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Saturday June 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A service to celebrate Bob's life will follow in the chapel commencing at 11:00 a.m. with David Woodall officiating. Please join us to commemorate the trials, tribulations and life of a True Friend, Bob Brill. For Bob's survivors, his wife Tarcila and sons Roberto and Peter, the future will be very challenging indeed with such limited resources. There is no prospect of meaningful work for Tarcila and the boys are both still students. In lieu of flowers, a trust account has been established for the benefit of Bob's family through the Royal Bank to be administered by Roberto and Uncle Peter.
