Born December 25, 1948, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday June 20, 2020 at the age of 71.
Beloved wife of Lance for over fifty years.
Loving mother of Brandon and his wife Jenny and Trevor and his husband Anthony.
Proud grandmother of Gavin.
Cherished sister of Jim and his wife Penny, and predeceased by her brother Morris, sister Zita (Marie) and sisters-in-law Ida and Anne.
Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Rita will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
A special thank you to her long time friend Susan Cyopeck for all the years of love, support and friendship.  A big thank you to Tara Moffatt for the support, kindness and compassion she showed.
Arrangements for the late Rita Froates are being handled privately with the family and have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
