Peter Kuri

It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Joseph Kuri on Monday December 8th, 2025, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family in the home he put so much of his talents into. He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife and fishing buddy Lorraine, who he had been married to for 47 years. He was a loving and generous father to Erin (Jonathan Parham) and Jenny (Eugene Choi). He leaves behind four beautiful grandchildren, Lilian, Sebastien, Elise, and Klara, as well as many nieces and nephews. Peter emigrated from Germany at the age of 3 with his parents Joseph and Elfrieda Kuri. He grew up in Toronto with his siblings John, Bridget, Christine, Mark and his grandmother. Peter worked as a provincial offences officer and property standards inspector for the city of North York and Toronto until his retirement. Peter had a lifelong passion for the outdoors, fishing and building anything out of wood. His favourite pastime was making sawdust. He will be forever in our hearts and memories. If desired, a donation to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Peter’s wish was cremation and to have a celebration of life that will take place at a future date.
