Peter Febel, son of the late Jack and Maria Febel, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, June 3, 2024, in his 72nd year. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Febel for over 40 years. He is predeceased by his brother, Richard and survived by his sister, Ingrid Smith (Tom Fitzgerald).

Peter was the dear father of Shelley Kelsey, Christian Febel (Jolene), and Brian Febel (Jennifer). He was the proud Opa of Tyler, Kyle, and Adyson.

He will be fondly remembered by all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Peter retired from the Metro Toronto Police Service in 2002, having served for over 28 years as a police constable. He headed North to enjoy the simple life in retirement. Peter was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is now reunited with his beloved dog, Nikko and enjoying many long walks together again.

The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 12pm until 2pm. The chapel is located at 210 Ontario Street, in Burk’s Falls, Ontario. A service to celebrate Peter’s life will follow in the chapel commencing at 2:00 pm, with Doreen Mason officiating.
