Pat was an avid card player who enjoyed taking part in local card nights at the Legion. She was a devoted member of her local church and was always happy to help bake pies for groups and gatherings throughout the area. She treasured her morning coffee socials with friends in Sunridge and was known for sharing a warm hello with everyone she met around town. For many years, Pat lovingly crocheted blankets for all her grandchildren, as well as many more to donate to the church.
Pat passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in her 92nd year. She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Peacock. She was the cherished mother of Christine Hayes (the late Greg), the late James K. Peacock, Gerry Peacock (Bonnie), David Peacock (Bearnice), Mary Cunningham (Paul), Peter Peacock (Cindy), and Cathy Lusty (Todd). Pat was a proud grandmother to Thersea, Sabrina, Marion, John, Emily, Kacey, Lesley, Kelsey, Connor, and Brady, and a loving great-grandmother to Brody Truckel, Marai and Moana Afalava and Katrina, Tara & Dominik Pellerin, and Kira, Sophia & Victoria Cunningham and Adely & Brooks Miller and Tiberius, Leo, Vance & Kelly Myers, Haiden & Blake Galipeau. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her siblings. She was predeceased by William Patrick, Betty Chambers, Micheal Patrick, and Daniel Patrick, and is remembered by her sister Kathryn Koppens. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Opatovsky Funeral Home—Moore Chapel on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Strong Cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe in Pat’s memory. A gift made in memory of a loved one helps Hospice Simcoe continue providing meaningful support to individuals and families touched by life-limiting illness, enhancing quality of life at end of life. Memorial donations also create a lasting tribute, with the individual’s name placed on the Hospice Simcoe In Memoriam plaque for one calendar year.
