MRS. OTILIJA "TILLY" ALVENA STRAUMERS Of Powassan and formerly of South River and Sundridge Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Thursday May 2, 2013 in her 96th year. Tilly Straumers (nee Zvigzne), beloved wife of the late Edgar Straumers. Dear mother of Imants Straumers (Sointu), Austra Bond (Garfield) and Irene Raddatz (Bill). Loving grandmother of Natasha, Marcus, Gary, Carla, Leanne and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson Donald. Fondly remembered by her family and many friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Monday May 6, 2013 from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Tilly Straumers will be conducted in the chapel on Monday May 6, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. with the Pastor Larry Broughton officiating. Interment at the South River Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Samaritans Purse would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
