Oskar Ruf

OSKAR ARTUR RUF of Kearney Peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Friday July 7, 2017. Oskar Ruf, beloved husband of Olga, was in his 77th year. Oskar immigrated to Canada in 1961. In 1965 he and Olga were married, he worked for many years as a sales driver and in 2001 he and Olga retired to Kearney. Oskar is the dear brother of Gisela and Wolfgang, both of Germany, brother in law of Frieda and Ellie and godfather of Corinna. Oskar will be fondly remembered by his many friends and family. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kearney commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday July 13, 2017 with Father Emmanuel Okpi officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Algonquin Grace Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
