It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Niki (Culbert) Ward on November 19, 2025, at the age of 63. Niki will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
A lifelong resident of Burk’s Falls, Niki dedicated 40 years of service to the LCBO, where she formed lasting friendships and was known for her warmth, reliability, and generous spirit.
Niki was the second youngest daughter of the late Sandy and Doug Culbert, and daughter-in-law of Myrna and the late Al Ward. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Sherry Atack, Dan Culbert, and Merri-Lee Culbert, as well as her extended Ward family.
Niki leaves behind her beloved husband of 43 years, Steve Ward; her daughter Rebecca; and her treasured grandchildren: Abigail, Chloe, Ryner, Kylie, and Cypress. She is reunited in peace with her parents, her youngest daughter Stephanie, and many dear friends.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls on Wednesday November 26 from 2 to 3 pm. A service to celebrate Niki’s life will follow in the chapel commencing at 3:00 pm with Doreen Mason DLM officiating. Cremation will follow.
If desired memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
Forever loved, forever missed.
