It is with heavy hearts that Mary Ellen’s family announces the sudden passing of their wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister on Monday, January 31, 2022, she was in her 78th year.

Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Way.

Cherished mother of Maureen Way (Bob Way Jr.) and Tracy Matthews (Brad Matthews) Mother in Law to Denise Tomasin (Brian Tomasin)

Proud grandmother of Lindsay O’Neil(pre-deceased), Brad Way, Michael McConnachie(Taylor McConnachie) and Breanna Matthews(Jeff Lamb) Alana Tomasin and Mitchell Tomasin.

Loving great grandmother of Abigail O’Neil, Elijah O’Neil, Luxon McConnachie and Raelynn Lamb.

Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium.  There will be no visitation or service at this time, however the family are planning a spring interment and a celebration of Mary Ellen’s enormous personality and love of life.

If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Arrangements entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home Dempster Chapel.
