MRS. MARY JANE KENT Of Burk's Falls Peacefully at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville on Monday February 13, 2012. Mrs. Mary Kent was in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Kent. Dear mother of Ronald, Everett (Diane Zaharie), Murray (Wanda Green), Marna Butson (Jim) and Heather Houghton (Vern). Cherished grandmother of Erin, Lucas (Amy), Jordan (Sofia), Michelle, Keira and Ben Kent; Brent and Lindsay Butson; Carla and Brian Houghton. Great grandmother to Kennedy and Oliver Kent. Mary is survived by her brothers Ivan and Fred Whittington, sister Margaret Dearing and predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Elgin Whittington and grandson Ryan Kent. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Saturday April 28, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Kent will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 28, 2012 with Mr. Jim Nicholson officiating. Interment in Berriedale Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
