Lorraine Kujala

Lorraine (nee Shipperbottom) peacefully passed with her family by her side, at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on October 23, 2026 in her 87th year.

Lorraine is predeceased by her parents Ernie and Phoebe, step-mother Charlotte and her brother Larry.

Left to mourn her is her Beloved husband and loving partner, Peter of 64 years. Children Kathryn (Kathy) and partner Bill Weaver; Karen and husband Paul Lewis, and Kevin and wife, Angela Bulmer Kujala. Grandmother to Andrew (Raven); Kassandra (Alex); Alicia (Ben); Kirk (Jill); Grace and Phoebe. Great-Grandchildren Raina, Shay, Elijah, Shepherd and Wells. Brother Doug (Lucie) Shipperbottom, several nieces and nephews and her furry feline friend Mustaa.

Special thanks to the nursing staff and medical professionals for their care, kindness and compassion that assisted Lorraine through her final days.

Family and Friends will be welcome to attend Katrine United Church on Saturday, October 31st at 11 a.m. for a service dedicated to Lorraine. Cremation has taken place. A graveside internment and Celebration of life will be held at a later date in 2027. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Society or Katrine United Church.
