MR. LORNE THOMAS FREDERICK SCRIVENS of Sundridge Peacefully at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Tuesday July 25, 2017 in his 87th year. Lorne Scrivens, beloved husband of the late Roxie Scrivens (nee Moore). Dear father of Tammi Harvey (Mark Greenwood), Perry Frederick Scrivens, Andy Scrivens (Julia Morrisseau) and Steve Scrivens (Donna). Loving grandfather of Aaron, Kelsi (Ty), Rhiannon (Corey), Ashleigh, Ben, Samuel, Daniel, Christina and great grandfather of Brinley, Randi and Cameron. Cherished brother of Eva Richardson and predeceased by parents Ernest and Grace, brothers Jack, Don, Earl and sister Betty. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and will be missed by his animal friends: Molly, Ohly, Schven, Bonnie the horse, Fozzie the therapy dog, Bacardi and Lolli. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Sunday July 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Lorne Scrivens will be conducted in the chapel on Monday July 31, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend E.T. Jack Birtch officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice or the Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
