LENA ALEXANDER Of North Bay and formerly of Sundridge Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #467 Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday February 15, 2012 in her 88th year. Lena Alexander (nee Russell), beloved wife of the late Wilfred Alexander. Dear mother of Lois (Ted), Dan (Judy), Larry (Mary-Ann), Peter (Linda) and Sam. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Andrew), Heather, Steve, Ryan (Carrie), Shayne (Crystal), Tyson (Tracey), Heidi (Dan), Malynka (Steve), Bryan (Jennifer), Kevin, Erin, Samantha, Sarah, Michael, Richard and the late Kyle. Great grandmother of Alexander, Christopher, Jeffrey, Jimmy, Adam, Zack, Nixon, Riley, Rhys, Megan, Ben, Danika, Emilie and Quinne. Cherished sister of Dorothy Paige and predeceased by her parents, four sisters and seven brothers. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Friday February 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Lena Alexander will be conducted at the Sundridge Gospel Mission in Sundridge on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Steve Ramsay officiating. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre or the Hospital for Sick Children would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
