MRS. LAURA MURRAY of Burk's Falls (nee Metcalf) Peacefully at Lady Isabelle Nursing Home in Trout Creek on Friday April 10, 2015. Mrs. Laura Murray, beloved wife of the late Ferdinand, was in her 97th year. Dear mother of Frances Benedet (Gary), Joan Malek (Paul), David Murray (Darleen) and predeceased by daughters Gloria Warwick (late David) and Mary Ann Beard (Marcus). Proud grandmother of James, Laurette, Trisha, Frances Anne, Joseph, Michael, Edward, Kelly, Leslie and Melissa Ann. Great grandmother to 14 great grandchildren Survived by siblings Reg, Ross, Velma, Pat, Eleanor and predeceased by Birdie, Gordon, Grace, Alvin, Reta, Edith, Jack and Dorothy. Laura was the loving daughter of the late James and Harriet Metcalf and will be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Sunday April 12, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion memorial service will take place in the funeral home on Sunday at 1:45 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Burk's Falls commencing at 10:00 a.m. on Monday April 13, 2015 with Father John Albao officiating. Spring interment in St. Patrick's Parish Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Lady Isabelle Nursing home or the Alzheimer's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
