MR. KENNETH EARL FRENCH of Powassan and formerly of South River and Sundridge Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Tuesday September 24, 2013 in his 92nd year. Ken French, beloved husband of the late Betty French (nee Scrivens). Dear father of Earle French (Kate), Rick French, Bob French (Linda) and Bonnie Hibbert (Russ). Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and predeceased by 1 grandson. Cherished brother-in-law of Lorne Scrivens and Eva Richardson. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday September 27, 2013 from 6-9 P.M. A tribute service of the Sundridge Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 467 will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday September 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ken French will follow in the chapel with the Reverend Lori Campbell officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
