MR. KEN BERGQUIST (of Sundridge) Peacefully at home on Sunday October 2, 2011 in his 85th year. Ken Bergquist, cherished companion of Mary Goodbrand. Predeceased by wife Moira Bergquist. Dear father of Bob Bergquist and Sandy McLaren (Wayne). Loving grandfather of Karli Bergquist (Blair), Christy Sollman (Jamey), Scott McLaren (Tina), Jamie McLaren (Lindsey), Randy McLaren (Krista) and great grandfather of Jonah, Dillon, Aidan, Abby, Dryden, Danae, Daria, Lauren, Declan, Leah, Connor and Kara. Predeceased by great grandson Kyle McLaren, brother George and sister Marjorie. Fondly remembered by the Goodbrand family and his many friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Tuesday October 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Ken Bergquist will be conducted at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Magnetawan on Wednesday October 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery, Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
