Kathryn Elizabeth Kohajda

Kathy passed away peacefully at Hospice Huntsville on August 21, 2025 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. She will be missed by her partner Gary Swance. Predeceased by her parents Victoria and George of Blenheim. Kathy is survived by her sisters Nancy of Chatham and Karolyn of Blenheim and her brothers in law Greg (Darlene) of Blenheim and Gord (Monica) of Rondeau Park.

She worked at Scarborough Outdoor Education Center for a number of years and Home Depot. When asked what her favorite activities were the quick answer would be gardening followed by kayaking and boating. Before the ice was completely off the water Kathy would be out paddling between the ice floes.

Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel in Burk’s Falls and cremation has taken place.

Memorial donations would be greatly appreciated to Hospice Huntsville and/or Huntsville Hospital. We are blessed to have such caring and thoughtful staff in our community.
