JOSEPH ERNEST SHEPHARD BROWN of Eagle Lake Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday February 2, 2014 in his 78th year. Joe Brown, much loved husband and best friend of Shirley Brown. Loved father of Lincoln Brown (Vicki). Proud and loving grandfather of two beautiful grandchildren Bailey and Mason Brown. Brother of Dave Brown. Fondly remembered by nephew Adam and nieces Sherry and Penny. Predeceased by father Joe Brown and mother Fay Beal. Joe was a former councilor of Machar Township, former President of the Eagle Lake Conservation Association and a proud Master Mason of the Burlington Masonic Lodge as well as an affiliate of the Strong Masonic Lodge. He will be missed by his many, many friends new and old. Members of the Strong Masonic Lodge will gather at the South River Machar Arena for a tribute service on Thursday February 20, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. A celebration of life will follow at the arena at 7:30 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the North Bay Regional Health Care Centre - Critical Care Unit would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
