JOHN LANOIS of Katrine and formerly of Mississauga Peacefully at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Saturday August 13, 2016 in his 75th year. John Lanois, beloved husband of 54 years of Maureen. Dear father of Suzanne, Eric and Laurette (Gary). Proud grandfather of Michael John (Ashley), Anne Marie (Brian), Katelin (Josh), Jennifer, Aaron, Olivia, Julia, Robyn, Lauren and Blair. Cherished brother of Leonard, Reynald, Veronique and predeceased by sisters Rosemarie and Lise. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday August 15, 2016 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers will take place in the funeral home Monday evening at 6 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Burk's Falls commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 16, 2016 with Father Theodore Nnorom officiating. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church in Mississauga on Friday September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Huntsville or the Hospital for Sick Children would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
