MR. JOHN "JACK" CARMEN LACOMBE of South River February 10, 1930 - March 18, 2018 Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday March 18, 2018 at the age of 88. Jack Lacombe, beloved husband of Marie Lacombe (nee Willet). Dear dad of Debbie O'Hallarn (Bill), Dan Lacombe (Bonnie) and Shelley Albright (Dan). Loving grandpa of Amber Charlebois (Brandon), Leah Bell (Chris), Shea Lacombe (Jaymie), Scott Lacombe (Isabelle), Joe Schell (Melanie) and proud Poppa Jack of Hanna, Owen, Ava, Liam, Maya, Madix and Pearl. Predeceased by son-in-law Moe Schell, brothers Orville, Merle, Mervin and sister Marjory. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jack led a wonderful, healthy life. He was an active member of the community, an avid curler and enjoyed hockey, baseball, golf and cross country skiing. He loved his family very much. Family will receive visitors at Chalmers United Church, 131 Ottawa Avenue in South River on Friday March 23, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-8:30 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Jack Lacombe will be conducted in the church on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Susan Peverley officiating. Spring interment at the South River Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
