Joan McCabe

Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center on Sunday, March 1, 2026, she was in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Archie McCabe. Cherished mother of Peggy (Milt - predeceased) Haggart, Linda (Joe) Major, Debbie (David) Russell, Rhoda (Gord) Furlong and David (Marilyn) McCabe. Proud grandmother of Clint, Dustin (Caitlin), Travis (Nicole), Dillon, Matthew (Katie), Brad, Darren (Kim), Crystal (Tom), April (James), Adam (Stephanie) Cody, Cassandra (Rusty), Jenniffer (Marty), Lindsay (Chris), Lisa (Ryan) and great-grandmother of, Hudson, Parker, Colton, Corbin, Charlotte, Addison, Andrea, Wade, Logan, Cooper, Aspen (our angel baby), Nathan, Haylee, Brody, Maxx and Marcus. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Bernice, Ken, Arthur, Phyllis and predeceased by her siblings Norman, Shirley and by her parents Albert & Luella (Wellwood) Botham. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Strong Cemetery on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Moore Chapel. If desired, donations to a charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
