Joan Flavelle

MRS. JOAN ALICE FLAVELLE (nee Brockington) Of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia and formerly of Kearney, Emsdale, Huntsville, Toronto, Ontario as well as Edmonton Alberta. She died peacefully on September 17, 2011 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital from a recurring bout with cancer. She is survived by her three children, Sandra Heath, Nancy Hewitt and David Flavelle. Joan was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Glen. Joan was a lady of great faith, compassion and kindness. She was a beautiful soul who passed from this earth much too soon. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Tuesday September 20, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Flavelle will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 21, 2011. Reverend Doctor Dorothy Wilson officiating. Interment in Knox United Cemetery in Kearney.
