Joan Appleyard

Peacefully at Fairvern Nursing Home in Huntsville on Wednesday February 18, 2026. Joan, beloved sister of Iris was in her 90th year.

Dear daughter of the late Helena and Fred Appleyard. Cousin of Shirely Hallett and Sylvia Harter.

Joan was a teacher, good friend, an Elder and President of the UCW at the Burk’s Falls United Church and a cat lover.

Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel in Burk’s Falls. A memorial and interment of ashes will be held later.
