Passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, she was in her 68th year. She was with her children Jordan Ford, Kaitlynn Ford, and Courtney Ford and Grandchildren Alex and Halle Ford. Beloved Daughter of "Peggy" Tofflemire and the late William Henry "Hank" Marshall. Sadly missed by her siblings Carolyn Brendstrup (Trig), Nancy Edson (Kent), Craig Marshall, Andy Marshall (Amy), and Kent Marshall (Cheryl) she will be missed by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Janice had been battling cancer since October of 2023. After watching her late husband Paul battle cancer 8 years ago, she decided to take a different approach.
Janice was a dedicated mother, she loved her family and served to give them a wonderful home always smelling of her delicious baked goods. Friends knew her for her intoxicating and loving laugh, her heart of gold, and the way she cared for everyone in her special way.
She will be loved and missed by her grandchildren who knew her not as "grandma" but as "Princess" or "Amma".
Janice had a love for all animals in her life and had many animals including dogs cats rabbits goats, and horses, but she especially loved her Boston Terriers.
Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Family will receive friends at the Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Monday, May 13th, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of the Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Elmsdale following the service.
