James Henry Cryderman

Jim passed peacefully at Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville on Wednesday May 13, 2026. The beloved husband of Elaine (née Murphy) was in his 66th year.

Dear father of Matthew (Tannis), James “JJ” (Heather), and Andrew.

Proud grandfather of Paige, Conner, Lincoln, Kostyn, Harper, Vanna, Leighna, and Liam

Beloved brother of Lindy (John), Jack (Linda), Joel (Rachel), and Allison (Jim).

Loving son of Jo Ann (nee Clark) and the late James Ray Cryderman.

Jim will be fondly remembered by all of his nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Jim was always busy. He worked hard, coached hockey and soccer, ran the youth group, and was devoted to his family and his beloved Maple Leafs.

The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls on Tuesday May 19, 2026 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm.

A service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held in the Faith Chapel, 63 Henry Street in Sprucedale, commencing at 1pm on Wednesday May 20, 2026 with Pastor Dallas Houser officiating.

Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Sprucedale.

If desired, memorial donations to the Sprucedale Faith Chapel or Hospice Huntsville in Jim's memory would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
