MRS. ISLAY JEAN WAGER Of Magnetawan Peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Wednesday March 21, 2012. Mrs. Islay Wager was in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Earl Wager. Dear mother of Judy Puddy (Zane), Linda Fisher (Milton), Maxine Emerson (Jim), Ruth Stiles (Allan), Barbara Warriner (Vern Rumford), Penny Nelson (James), Mark and Mathew Wager. Predeceased by daughter Mary Susan and son Jim Wager. Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Islay is survived by her sisters Rhoda Phillips and Verna Dauncey and will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk's Falls on Friday March 23, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mrs. Wager will be conducted in the chapel commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Friday March 23, 2012 with Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. Spring interment in Ahmic Harbour Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
