MR. HENRY JOHN SCHMELER
“Hank” of Sundridge

Peacefully at Muskoka Landing on Monday January 24, 2022.  Hank Schmeler, beloved husband of Barbara, was in his 93rd year.
Dear father of Joe Schmeler (Annette), Connie Newitt (Jim), Tim Schmeler (Bev) and predeceased by sons Jerry and Richard Schmeler.
Proud grandfather of Adam (Cari), Jackie, Nickole, Ricky (Jessica) and Angela.
Great grandfather of Finn, Alex, Lacey, Bianca, Luca, Jack and Henry.
Hank is survived by his brother Dave Schmeler (Jean), sister Violet McHughes and predeceased by siblings: Rosie, Ben, Eva, Mabel and Leora.
He will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate Hank’s life will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Chapman Cemetery in Magnetawan with Reverend Rick Callery officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
