MRS. HELEN MARGARET METCALFE formerly of Burk's Falls and Sundridge Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Saturday June 29, 2013 in her 84th year. Helen Metcalfe (nee Hoyle), beloved wife of the late Glenn Plant and the late Jack Metcalfe. Dear mother of Matt Plant (Linda) of Chisolm and Marsha Plant (Jay Quathamer) of Creston, British Columbia. Loving grandmother of Joshua Plant (Kylie) of Bobcaygeon and Amy Plant (Sean) of North Bay. Cherished sister of Jack Hoyle of Vancouver, British Columbia. Fondly remembered by her other family and friends. Helen was a long time resident of Burk's Falls and Sundridge. She enjoyed gardening, travelling, cooking and antiquing. Helen was an avid card player and she particularly enjoyed Euchre, even after her health declined. At Helens request a private family service to celebrate her life will be conducted at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Monday July 8, 2013. Interment at the Pevensey Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Parkinson's Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
