MR. GORDON CLIVE "SAM" RENNIE Of Sundridge Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Tuesday April 19, 2011 in his 97th year. Sam Rennie, beloved husband of the late Lucy Rennie. Dear father of Gordon Clive Rennie Jr. of Sundridge. Cherished friend of Annie Neely who was a dear companion in recent years. Loving stepfather of Phyllis Minor, Kate Insley, Jim Lang (deceased), Lorraine Proud (deceased) and grandfather to their families. Predeceased by his parents Mabel and Milne Rennie, brothers Evan, Ross and sad to note that brother Ron passed away on this same day April 19, 2011 as Sam. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street Sundridge on Friday April 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Members of the Sundridge Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a tribute service on Friday at 6:30 P.M. followed by a tribute service of the Sundridge Lions Club at 6:45 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. Sam Rennie will be conducted at the Zion United Church in Sundridge on Saturday April 23, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Lori Campbell officiating. Interment at the Strong Cemetery, Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Zion United Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
