George Hagey

MR. GEORGE KEITH HAGEY (of South River) Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday June 7, 2011 in his 76th year. George Hagey, beloved husband of Jeanne Hagey (nee Binkle) of South River. Survived by his four sons, their wives and children: Kevin, Betty and Darren; Colin, Jenn and Teyla; Warren, Pam, Bronwyn and Aliyah; Ryan, Erin, Jonah and Keira; his brother Glen and sisters Edna Becker and Lois Cressman. Predeceased by his sister Ruth Shantz and brother Edward. George managed retail lumber stores in Waterloo, Kitchener and Walkerton before buying South River Lumber in 1985. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home - Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street, Sundridge on Thursday June 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Mr. George Hagey will be conducted at the Almaguin Evangelical Missionary Church on Highway 11 at Church Road between South River and Sundridge on Friday June 10, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Andre Wedseltoft officiating. Interment at the Bow's Cemetery, Machar Township. If desired, memorial donations to the Huntington's Society of Canada or the Gideons would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
