MRS. ELEANOR BATES Of Sundridge Peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Monday January 6, 2014 in her 71st year. Eleanor Bates (nee Converse), beloved wife of Larry Bates of Sundridge. Dear mother of Paula (Mike), Keith (Darla) and Kim (Terry). Loving grandmother of Alexander, Heather, Jordan, Mitchel, Aubrey and Laura. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Isabelle and brother Wilbert. Fondly remembered by her nieces, cousins and many friends in the area. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Thursday January 9, 2014 from 7-9 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Eleanor Bates will be conducted at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Sundridge on Friday January 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Doctor Walter Winger officiating. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
