It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Verna Dauncey at the Lakeland Long Term Care in Parry Sound on Saturday, April 29, 2023, she was 100 years old.  Beloved wife of the late Jack Dauncey.  Cherished mother of Shelva (Bob), Terry (Valerie), Debbie (Ed), Karen (Don) and predeceased by her children Larry, Dianne (Jim) and Jacqueline.  Proud grandmother of Ryan (Candace), Paul (Michele). Jonas (Lorraine). Carey (Dan), Benjamin, Jaclyn (Aaron), Chris (Hayven), Scott (predeceased) and great-grandmother of William, Victoria, Carley, Russ and Veronica.  Verna is predeceased by her parents Ted & Vicky (nee Downing) Nelson and her siblings Rhonda, Joan, Islay and Dalton.

A PRIVATE graveside service will take place at Spence Cemetery.   If desired, donations to the Magnetawan Presbyterian Church or charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Arrangements entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel.
