David Colin MacKay

Of Huntsville

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side in the early morning of Tuesday, December 6, 2022, he was in his 80th year.  Beloved husband of Barbara MacKay (nee Hurrell).  Cherished father of Darrin MacKay (Ann) and Donna Collins (Keith).  Proud grandfather of Colin MacKay, Craig MacKay, Kristin Lake (Matt), Shaun Collins (Paige), Kristopher Collins and Emily Collins.  David is predeceased by all of his siblings.  Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  A Private graveside service will be held in the spring of 2023 at Burks Falls Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home Dempster Chapel 210 Ontario St. Burks Falls, ON.

The Moment The You Left Me

My heart split in two.  One side filled with memories the other side died with you.

I often lay awake at night when the world is fast asleep and take a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek.

Remembering you is easy I do it everyday but missing you is a heartache that never goes away.  I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain.  You see life has gone on without you but will never be the same.
