CATHY MARLENE BURNS Of Tilden Lake ( Staff Sergeant with the Ontario Provincial Police) Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday March 20, 2011 at the age of 49 years. Cathy Burns (nee Middlebrook), beloved wife of Jim Burns of Tilden Lake. Cherished mother of Samantha Burns (Nick), Jessica Burns (Nathan) and Ryan Burns. Loving daughter of Deloris and Hilton Middlebrook, sister of Donna Forget (Glen) and granddaughter of Tressa Zoldy. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street Sundridge on Wednesday March 23, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M. and on Thursday March 24, 2011 from 2-6 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of Cathy Burns will be conducted at the Sundridge-Strong-Joly Arena, Highway #11 in Sundridge on Friday March 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Linda Sarginson officiating. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
