Peacefully at home, surrounded by her daughters and her brother on Sunday July 30, 2023, she joined her husband, the late Wade Brown. Loving mother of Lori Atkins (Ian), Leslie Taylor (Phil), Jodi Bennett (Mark) and stepmother of Darryl Brown. Loving grandma, Iggy and Mimi to Jeffrey (Jenna), Dustin (Rikki), Parker, Spencer (Samantha), Dexter, Kaylynn, Colin, Jackson (Kaitlyn), Carter, Jessica, and great grandmother of Charlie, Harvey, Adylyn and the much-anticipated new addition, Ryker. Dear sister and fondly remembered by Patricia Fairbairn, Judy Lacombe (John), Doug Haddow (Dawn) and their families. Carol is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Muriel and brother Jack Haddow.
Carol was a shining light in her community and brought joy to all those who knew her. She belonged to many clubs and organizations and gave generously of her time.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel in Sundridge on Monday August 7, 2023, from 3 to 7pm. A service to celebrate Carol’s life will be conducted at Zion United Church in Sundridge commencing at 11:00 am on Tuesday August 8, 2023, with Reverend Sandra Jenkinson officiating.
If desired, memorial donations to the Sundridge Food Bank or the Huntsville Hospital foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family. (cheques only please)
