Passed away peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay on Sunday July 20, 2025.
Bruce, beloved husband of Jean Mary (nee Clark) for 70 years, was in his 93rd year.
Father of the late Craig and Brett.
Predeceased by his parents Gertie (nee Stoner) and Alfred Hart and siblings Elwood, Shirley and Doreen.
He is survived by many numerous nieces and nephews.
Bruce worked many years driving truck for Loblaws, he loved golf, hunting, was a member of the 48 Highlanders as a marcher; he coached hockey and won many trophies over the years. Bruce always had a smile, he loved life, he gave freely of his time and worked hard for his church, serving on many committees.
The family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Thursday July 24, 2025, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm.
A service to celebrate Bruce’s life will be conducted in Zion United Church in Sundridge commencing at 11am on Friday July 25, 2025, with Rev. Sandra Jenkinson officiating.
Interment in Strong Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to Zion United Church or the Sundridge Legion Branch 467 would be sincerely appreciated by the family
