Betty Jennie Unruh

Peacefully at Tabor Manor in St. Catharines on Wednesday November 5, 2025. Betty, beloved wife of the late Roy Unruh was in her 95th year. Beloved mother of the late David (Beth) of St. Catharines, the late Karen Nichols of Burlington and Gary (Joanne) of Hamilton. Proud grandmother of Leanne Unruh, Stephanie Campbell (Graham), Kryssi Sinclair (Jonas) and great grandmother of Aalayah, Micah, Kayleigh, Thomas and Alydia. Betty lived in Hamilton and later moved to Sundridge ON. She enjoyed her church family and singing with her husband Roy. Betty loved cross-country skiing with her adopted red fox following her. She also enjoyed swimming in the wonderful lakes and spent many enjoyable summers with her 3 granddaughters. Betty truly loved living in Sundridge but eventually moved to Tabor Manor in St. Catharines for her final years.

The family will receive visitors at the Almaguin Missionary Church, 13 Church Road in South River on Thursday November 13, 2025 from 11 am until the time of service at 1pm with Pastor Terry Anger officiating. Interment in Strong Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Moore Chapel in Sundridge. If desired donations to the Almaguin Missionary Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
