Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Tomkins House Hospice Huronia in Penetanguishene on Saturday, October 1, 2022, she was in her 86th year.  Beloved wife of the late Fred Chartrand.  Cherished mother of Kevin (Nadine) Chartrand, Karen (Gerald) Haourt, Kelly (Robin) Chartrand and predeceased by her son Kirk Chartrand.  Proud grandmother of Jody (Tonya) Haourt, Jeremy (Lorraine) Haourt, Coreena (Doug) Haourt, Cory Haourt, Jenna (Josh) Chartrand, Makayla Chartrand, Temperance Chartrand, great grandmother to 11 and great-great-grandmother to 2.  Barbara will be sadly missed by her brothers Butch (Barbara) Burns, Brian (Hillary) Burns, and predeceased by her siblings Gloria (Les) Powell, Judy Burns, Rita (Allister) Adamson, Loretta (Jack) Label, Ken Burns and her parents Alex & Marie Burns.  She will be fondly remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium.  A private graveside service will be held for family and close friends at Knox Cemetery in Kearney.
