Arlene Elizabeth Middlebrook

Passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, August 30, 2025 surrounded by her children, she was in her 64th year. Predeceased by the late Doug MacDougall. Beloved daughter of Gladys Middlebrook (nee McMurray) and the late Kenneth Middlebrook. Cherished mother of Jennifer Griffiths (Andrew), Laura Irwin (Tyler), Benjamin Clark (Paige). Proud grandmother of Lily Griffiths, Noah Griffiths, and Rylee Irwin. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Christine Gibbs (Eric), Wayne Middlebrook, Paul Middlebrook, and Rob Middlebrook (Natalie). Predeceased by her sister's in law Leona Middlebrook and Marlene Middlebrook. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Arlene was a strong independent woman, who loved her family and had a deep love for animals. From a young age, horses always held a special place in her heart, and she was always up for a trail ride. Arlene enjoyed camping with her late partner Doug, and spending time in the outdoors having camp fires and relaxing near the lake. Arlene was a dedicated worker, serving her community at Collins' Valu-Mart for over 40 years. She developed many friendships during the course of her career, and the family would like to thank all those who stopped by during her final weeks, she truly appreciated the visits.

Cremation has taken place at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to Opatovsky Funeral Home- Dempster Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to Carter's Forever Rescue & Sanctuary would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
