Annie Ruth Nylund

In loving memory and celebration of Annie Ruth Nylund (Stone), who was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on July 23, 2026.

Annie was born to the late Frank and Mae Stone Sr. on September 4, 1930.

She was the beloved wife and best friend of her late husband Eric (2021) for 45 years.

She was the cherished Mother of David (Patsy) Person of Newton Kansas, Linda (the late Hugh 2026) Henderson of Hagersville, Bonnie (the late William 2018) Gore of Burlington, Yvonne (Blain) Racette of Dowling, and Michele Hetman of Hamilton.

Sweet Grandma of 9 Grandchildren; Shanna, Nathan, Scott, Stephanie, Stacey, Jason, Jamie, Preston, Dylan and 13 Great Grandchildren; Sara, Quinn, Kara, Phoenix, Raven, Ella, Grace, Cole, Ryan, Reeselyn, Kayleen, Abel, Walter and One on the way.

Survived by her brother Robert Stone and sister Irene Anderson, Annie joins her brothers, Frank (Myrtle), Arthur (Joyce), Gerald (Ruth), Archie (Janet), Wray (Millie), Tom (Peggy); brother-in-law Glenn Anderson and sister-in-law Beatrice Stone who have passed on to Glory and are celebrating her arrival.

Having five children, Annie was widowed to William Person (1966) of Jarvis. Later, she moved north to where she was missionary (Rural Life Mission) in the community of Sprucedale. She met Eric at the local car garage (Emsdale) and they were married in 1976 in Parry Sound, later settling in Sundridge. Annie and Eric worshipped together with their Christian family at Chetwynd Community Church (‘back of Burk’s Falls’). In 2010 Annie and Eric moved to Parkview Meadows Christian Retirement Village in Townsend. Here they worshipped at the Townsend Community Church until they could no longer attend.

We, her children, are forever grateful for her love, compassion, generosity, patience, memories and commitment to us and to her faith in Christ, demonstrated throughout her life. What peace we hold, knowing we will all gather together again one day. We are thankful and blessed to have called her our Mom.

The family gratefully thanks the Staff of Anson Place Care Centre in Hagersville for their commitment to excellence in providing loving support to Annie these past few years.

Our Mother was a grand advocate for Missions around the world, consistently writing letters of encouragement, sending home crafted items and sending financial blessings.

You are welcome to make a donation to Haitian Children’s Aid (Townsend Community Church) This will honour her memory and be appreciated by the family.

Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 1-2 pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2 pm.

Private Interment will take place at a later date at Sand Lake Pioneer Log Church Cemetery, Kearney.
