Ann MacIsaac of South River passed away peacefully at Eastholme on October 27, 2026 with her daughter Mary and niece Debbie by her side. Ann was the 7th of 12 children born to Lily and Charles Diver. On October 3, 1959, she married the love of her life, Angus MacIsaac. Angus was a tall, lanky Eastcoaster from Antigonish, Nova Scotia. They enjoyed a perfect union until the passing of Angus on January 7th, 2008. Ann is survived by her children Patricia MacIsaac (Mike McKee) of Trout Creek, Mary MacIsaac of South River, Charles MacIsaac (Sharon) of Barrie and Caron MacIsaac of South River, her granddaughters Brittany MacIsaac and Brittany Hilepo, and siblings Bill Diver (Shirley) of South River, Lloyd Diver of Burks Falls, and Caron O’Shell (Clarence) of Kingsville. She was predeceased by siblings Sonny, Kathreen, Margaret, Veronica, Patrick, Howard, Robert and Bernard.
Ann will be remembered as a kind, generous, loving and supportive woman whose presence brought warmth to those around her. She had a wicked sense of humour and a gift for making people feel welcome. Her home was a place where there was always room at the table, and many will hold dear the comfort and kindness she shared so freely. She found joy in simple pleasures she loved, including cribbage, knitting, and baking. These everyday interests reflected the steady, caring spirit that touched her family and all who knew her. Her family and friends will remember her with deep affection and gratitude for a life lived with love, humour and generosity.
